Description

Clary sage essential oil has a high linalyl acetate content, which has anti-inflammatory affects, and it is often used as an alternative to lavender for its tranquil, soothing and relaxing effects. Clary sage is also gently uplifting, and supports a hectic, fast paced lifestyle.

The oil offers support during menstruation and menopause, and makes a wonderful blend with geranium, rose geranium and ylang ylang. When blended in a carrier oil, clary sage can be used used as a hair oil for those prone to dandruff and greasy hair.

Processing

Clary sage essential oil is steam distilled from the flowering tops of the clary sage flower.

Ingredients

100% pure clary sage essential oil – nothing else is added.

Suggestions for Use

• Blend 6-10 drops and add to a bath.
• Mix 5 drops with water to use in an oil burner.
• Mix 6-10 drops with hot water as an inhalation.
• Mix 5 drops per 10ml of carrier oil for massage. Patch test before use.

Blending Suggestion

Clary sage blends well bergamot, cedarwood, citronella, cypress, frankincense, geranium, lime, sandalwood, juniper, rose, chamomile.
